Who Have Been Cooking and Farming for Centuries
As a child, I grew up eating home-cooked meals provided by my mother and grandmother. I loved to watch my grandmother garden and bring in fresh tomatoes for stews and roll out flour for the oh-so good chicken and dumplings.
Although, I learned how to cook family recipes,
when I am out and about time doesn't permit to whip up a quick batch of yams and greens. So, when I am in the mood for homestyle taste, I go to "mom and pop" restaurants that have flavor to savor. From being in the graphics/web industry for over 11 years, I noticed that there wasn't a online platform that strictly focused on American, Caribbean and African soul food.
Back in 2006 the vision for AtlantaSoulFood.com was conceived and the domain was registered. In 2008, a team was created to make this site happen.
With AtlantaSoulFood.com, we want to help millions of visitors to find good places to eat.
